Loved that tour. We flew to Alaska and rented a car. Easy to get around. We went early October at pretty much the end of the season. On that excursion we saw Orca whales next day took the train to Danali. Beautiful scenery but started snowing so by the time we got there they had closed down the park.

The Alaska Railroad is a great experience !! We're taking the railroad in fall 2016. The weather was sunny and we have a beautiful view to Denali.

Going to Alaska in July, spending one day in Seward, arriving at 1800 and leaving the next day at 1200. It looks beautiful! Wish I had time to go on a boat tour.

Seward is nice. You have to go on one of the whale watching tours, that was my favorite along with the sea lions and otters that hung around the docks near the hotel we stayed in. The sea life center is awesome, my daughter loved it!!! Alaska is an awesome place to live

I agree with that. Denali was ok but would have liked to had spent the whole time in Seward. Millers Landing was the best! Halibut mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good!

Yeah we got the urban part of the lower 48 in anchorage. But outta the anchorage area you got alot of wild alaska and it's really beautiful

We're taking the railroad summer 2010. Anchorage to Fairbanks with the flight up to the Artic Circle. Then flying back to Anchorage and driving to Seward for a couple of days. We did a cruise a few years back, but this time we want to see the real Alaska. Tips/Suggestions?

I don't miss the Interior of Alaska. I live there for almost 5 years. I don't miss it because of the extremely short yet intense summers (good) and long dreary perpetual sub-zero winters. I got a good start there and I miss some people there more than I miss the good money and the UGLY cold. "Nuff said...

I lived in Alaska 12 years, 9 in the Interior, it's a great and beautiful state, bring some jackets as Alaskans start preparing for winter in August. Hope you have a great time.

i live in anchorage, and these are some of the things i can only go to at least once or twice in a while, such as going on a cruise to prince william sound. but once youve experienced it, it shows how much anchorage has to offer its theme of wilderness.

Makes me miss home :-(
